Hey, friends, foes, family and otherwise. We hope all is well. We just wanted to let you know that our full-length Fabergé is available for pre-order in the Encapsulated Records online store. CDs and LPs both come in custom-manufactured gatefold jackets, and the records come in three different limited-edition color variations. The super sick artwork was done by Chris Varnum of Asleepstanding Design. Get it while you can.
The 12-song release is the first full-length that we’ve done as our current and permanent lineup. We recorded it with engineers/producers Matt Amelung and Gabe Usery at Encapsulated Studios in Maplewood, MO, which was recently named by the Riverfront Times as the best recording studio in the St. Louis area.
Matt and Gabe pushed us to perform better than we ever have before, and we did our best to appease them, but you get to be ultimate critic. You can stream the entire record for free on our PunkNews.org profile.
We’re touring the continental US over the better part of the next few months in support of this record, so be sure to check out our shows page to find out when we’ll be in your area.
Thanks as always for your love and support. We hope to see you soon!
What it is, Kind Warriors,
We hope all is well. We just wanted to let everyone know that we’re taking a short break from the road to party hard with our friends and colleagues in Kansas City for the holidays.
The record release party for Fabergé will be held at The Riot Room (4048 Broadway, KCMO) on Saturday, Dec 22. It will feature performances from The Rackatees, The Donner Diaries and The Right Here as well as yours truly.
You can buy tickets here, and if you email your ticket purchase confirmation to email@example.com, they’ll send you a link to a FREE DOWNLOAD OF THE NEW RECORD!
We’ve got great things in store for 2013 including a tour of the southwestern US in January, a studio session and stint through the northern midwest in February, and our 10th anniversary party in March! Be sure to follow our blog in the sidebar on the right, like us on Facebook or follow us on Twitter for up-to-date information.
We love you all a shitload! See you on the 22nd!
Great news. PunkNews.org is doing an exclusive stream of our new full-length. You can listen to Fabergé from front to back for free right here. If you dig it, you can pre-order CDs and limited-edition vinyl from the Encapsulated Records Limited Run store. Check it out!
Our sprint up the east coast from The Fest in sunny Gainesville, FL has landed us in the wake of Hurricane Sandy. Fortunately, our dear friends Mitch, John, Greg, Greg, Jessica, Candice and company have sheltered us from the inevitable doom delivered to Earth by God herself and inspired us to spend our off hours helping restore order amongst the anarchy. Jeff and John look great in the included photo of them walking the streets of Jersey City canvassing for families still in need of food, blankets and medicine as the rain and snow continues to pour. Big up to all our friends for taking care of us and their neighbors in spite of the less-than-perfect storm. Rocking tonight at Maxwell’s in Hoboken with The Rezillos (UK punk legends). See you there!
I know the internet has missed us over the past few months but we’re back and better than ever. We’re scheduled to record a new full-length at Encapsulated Studios starting June 2nd and will have it out in time for another round of fall touring. In the meantime, we’re playing 2 shows before another well deserved break. Catch us in Kansas City this Saturday, May 12th at The Roost and in St. Louis on June 9th for Sink the Bismark’s CD release. If you see anyone we care about, say hi.
We got home two weeks ago and have yet to address you. Sorry. Everyone’s in fine shape and re-acclimating to Kansas City life very nicely. It’s Christmas this weekend and we are looking forward to some nice gift cards from some of our favorite retail outlets. Thanks to everyone that made our incredible trip possible. It was great to see you all and we’re stoked on the next round. Look for some new songs when we start playing again in March.
I leave you with us telling bad jokes at Kirby’s in Wichita, KS.
Kansas City sent us off right. Love sprang eternal and Buzzard Beach was the classiest place I’ve ever fallen for another man. We’re sitting at the I Hate Punk Rock suburban hideaway recovering from The Haddonfields forced inebriation pummeling last night and getting ready to head to Murphy’s in Memphis, TN. Elway sounds great every night and I’m already experiencing pre-separation anxiety. Not to fear though…with The Fest this weekend and a few off days on the beach ahead we won’t miss ‘em that much. I have updated our show calendar so check it out and make sure to come hangout with us when we make it to your town!
That’s our very own Juff behind the merch table at the Triple Rock. Look at all that reasonably priced stuff for sale! We’re in Milwaukee tonight and on to Chicago tomorrow. Check out the Calendar for a complete list of upcoming shows and hopefully we get to see you all soon!
Great news as usual. We went into UMKC studios yesterday with engineer Joe Concha and recorded a version of an unreleased track titled “Professora Emeritosa” for the score of the on-stage action extravaganza “Inspiration”. The single will also be featured on the soundtrack (available for purchase at any of the shows) and is likely to end up on one form or another of our upcoming “Kitchen VS. Pantry” EP. Check out the show opening this Friday, July 22nd, at Off Center Stage in Crown Center (KCMO). Give director Jay Akin a high five for us if you see him. He’ll appreciate the flask you stashed in your purse.
Our dear friend Brian Jessip invited us to St. Louis to shoot a video in what will soon be the new I Hate Punk Rock Records warehouse – Encapsulated Studios. Check it!
